ARS components – tools that stay repairable
ARS tools are modular: the spring, bolts, rubber bumper and handle are all available separately. A tired spring or a worn bumper therefore does not mean the end of a tool that is otherwise in good condition. The range covers 32 components; blades and saw blades are in a separate category.
What components are there?

The most common components
By far the most frequently replaced part is the spring, because it works on every single cut. The ARS SP-61 spring fits numerous models, including the 130DX series and the VS series. Among the bumpers, the SP-421 is for loppers and the SP-151 for pruning shears.
Why choose original parts?
An exact factory fit means no adjustment afterwards, and the tool goes on working to its original settings. This matters particularly on the bolts that set blade tension, where a few tenths of a millimetre affect the quality of the cut.
