ARS LPB-20S lopper
ARS LPB-20S lopper – 476 mm handle, 30 mm cutting capacity
Dense shrubs and tight spaces
A short handle is best inside a shrub, next to a fence or when working from a ladder: it fits where a long-handled lopper cannot be turned around. In exchange, more of the cutting force comes from your arms rather than from leverage.
Fluorocarbon-coated blade
The high-carbon steel blade is given a fluorocarbon coating. This is not cosmetic: the coating reduces friction during the cut, so less force is needed for the same branch, and it stops plant sap drying onto the blade. The black finish is the colour of that coating. Cleaning is the job of the ARS GO-1 blade cleaner.
Choose a handle length and capacity
The lopper comes in two series and three handle lengths. The twenty series is sized for the branch thicknesses typical of a garden and is somewhat lighter than the thirty. In vineyards and regularly maintained gardens it is usually enough.
| Model | Handle length | Cutting capacity |
|---|---|---|
| LPB-20S (this product) | 476 mm | 30 mm |
| LPB-20M | 627 mm | 32 mm |
| LPB-20L | 772 mm | 34 mm |
| LPB-30S | 482 mm | 34 mm |
| LPB-30M | 630 mm | 36 mm |
| LPB-30L | 778 mm | 38 mm |

Frequently asked questions
How thick a branch will the ARS LPB-20S cut?
Up to 30 mm in diameter according to the manufacturer.
Which handle length should I choose?
A short handle is for tight spaces and inside shrubs, a long one gives more leverage and reach. If in doubt, the medium is the most versatile. Compare them in the table above.
Can the blade be replaced?
Yes, the LPB-20-1 and the LPB-20-2 are both available separately.
What is the difference between the LPB-20 and LPB-30 series?
The thirty series cuts a few millimetres thicker at every handle length and is more robustly built. Choose it for thicker tree branches.
The ARS LPB-20S lopper has a 476 mm handle and a 30 mm cutting capacity, in the short-handled version. The high-carbon steel blade carries a fluorocarbon coating that reduces friction and stops sap sticking to it. KWF Profi certified, with replaceable blades. See the other handle lengths among the loppers.
High Carbon Steel
Carbon steel is sharp, wear-resistant and easy to sharpen. It offers great precision and durability, ideal for professional pruning. Regular maintenance greatly extends its lifespan.
Fluorocarbon coating
A special protective layer that creates an extremely smooth surface, reducing friction and the adhesion of plant sap. The blade glides through woody stems more easily, requires less effort, and stays cleaner. This technology significantly extends the tool's lifespan.
For All Hand Sizes
A universal design that fits all hand sizes excellently. An ideal choice for shared family use or professional work. Perfect weight distribution and a stable grip provide maximum comfort even during long-term, heavy-duty use.
