The entry-level model
The EP-719 is the lightest and most affordable in the series, with a 10.8 volt battery. Built for regular garden pruning, vineyards and smaller orchards, where the daily cut count is high but the branch diameter rarely exceeds 25 mm.
Battery and running time
The kit contains two 10.8 V 2.5 Ah lithium-ion batteries. One battery gives roughly 3,500 cuts, so with both you get around 7,000 cuts in a working day. Charging takes 90 to 120 minutes per battery, and the intelligent charger switches between the two automatically. Maximum continuous cutting speed is 30 cuts per minute.
Blade and motor
The blade is triple-ground Japanese steel, which holds its edge, and together with the patented lower blade it keeps cutting resistance to a minimum. The brushless motor needs less maintenance and lasts longer than a conventional brushed design. The cutting capacity can be set in two steps (15 and 25 mm), so you can work faster on thinner shoots.
