ARS EXW-2.7 telescopic pole saw
ARS EXW-2.7 telescopic pole saw – 2.7 metre reach
An integrated solution
What sets the EXW-2.7 apart from a UV saw plus EXP pole is that it is a single, integrated tool: nothing to assemble, no connection to check. That means a quicker start, at the cost of not being able to swap the saw head for a different blade size.
Cutting performance
The TURBOCUT tooth pattern uses three-sided, taper-ground teeth. It cuts on the pull stroke, which takes less effort than the push-cutting European saws and gives you better control over the direction of the cut. The 300 mm blade cuts up to 100 mm, with a 4.0 mm tooth pitch and a 1.2 mm tooth gauge. The blade is hollow-ground and hard chrome-plated, which reduces friction and protects against corrosion.
When to choose it
If the height you need is around 2.7 metres and a quick start matters more than flexibility, the EXW-2.7 is the obvious pick. If you need greater height or interchangeable saw heads, the ARS EXP telescopic poles and the UV saws that mount on them give you more options.
| Telescopic pole | Collapsed | Extended | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| EXP-3.3 | 1.41 m | 3.29 m | 1530 g |
| EXP-4.5 | 1.84 m | 4.56 m | 1720 g |
| EXP-5.5 | 2.18 m | 5.61 m | 2100 g |
Maintenance
Resin on the blade comes off with the ARS GO-1 blade cleaner. Regular cleaning matters especially on a pole saw, because trapped sawdust and sticky resin noticeably increase the effort needed at arm's length.

Frequently asked questions
How high does the EXW-2.7 reach?
2.7 metres extended, plus the length of your arm.
How thick a branch will it cut?
Up to 100 mm in diameter according to the manufacturer.
What is the difference between an EXP pole and the EXW-2.7?
The EXW-2.7 is an integrated tool, ready to use immediately. An ARS EXP pole takes interchangeable saw heads and reaches greater heights.
The ARS EXW-2.7 telescopic pole saw measures 1.8 metres collapsed and 2.7 metres extended, and its 300 mm TURBOCUT blade cuts branches up to 100 mm. At 1030 grams it stays manageable overhead. For more height solutions see the telescopic pole saws.
High Carbon Steel
Carbon steel is sharp, wear-resistant and easy to sharpen. It offers great precision and durability, ideal for professional pruning. Regular maintenance greatly extends its lifespan.
Hard Chrome Coating
Hard chrome-plated blades offer extra protection against rust and wear. The smooth surface resists plant sap and retains its sharpness for longer. Designed for heavy-duty use.
Curved-Ground Blade
Curved (or hollow-ground) saw blades are lightweight, razor-sharp and perfect for precision work. This technology reduces resistance and prevents the blade from binding during cutting. The hollow design efficiently clears away sawdust, resulting in a friction-free, smooth and clean cut.
Turbocut Tooth Pattern
The Turbocut tooth pattern's aggressive cutting angle enables extremely fast, smooth sawing with minimal effort. A perfect choice for cutting green wood and general pruning tasks, even during extended, heavy-duty use.
Tooth Pitch – 4.0 mm
The 4.0 mm tooth pitch creates a perfect balance between cutting speed and control. Excellent for both medium-thickness hardwood and softwood. This versatile tooth pattern guarantees a smooth, clean cut, making it ideal for professional pruning and heavy-duty use.
Blade Thickness – 1.2 mm
The 1.2 mm blade thickness enables stable cutting with minimal resistance and high precision. This size is typically found on shorter-bladed saws, making it an ideal choice for fine, highly precise pruning tasks.
For All Hand Sizes
A universal design that fits all hand sizes excellently. An ideal choice for shared family use or professional work. Perfect weight distribution and a stable grip provide maximum comfort even during long-term, heavy-duty use.
