ARS UV-47 pruning saw
ARS UV-47 pruning saw – 470 mm blade, 185 mm cutting capacity
Hand saw and pole saw in one
The UV-47 has the largest capacity: its 470 mm blade cuts up to 185 mm. Built for thick, high branches where you want to carry the kerf through in one pull. The tool is a complete hand saw on its own, but it also fits any ARS EXP telescopic pole, which does away with the ladder for high branches.
Super TURBOCUT teeth
Super TURBOCUT is the more advanced ARS tooth geometry: it meets less resistance in living wood, and the chip-clearing slots along the blade keep the kerf clean as you work. This matters most on thicker branches, where trapped sawdust slows you down. The tooth pitch is 4.5 mm and the tooth gauge 1.6 mm. The blade is electroless nickel-plated to protect against corrosion.
The pole-mountable models
Three blade sizes are available, all compatible with the same telescopic poles.
| Model | Blade length | Cutting capacity | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| UV-34 | 340 mm | 135 mm | 390 g |
| UV-40 | 400 mm | 160 mm | 520 g |
| UV-47 (this product) | 470 mm | 185 mm | 500 g |
Telescopic poles
The length of the pole determines the height you can reach. Three lengths are available, all carrying the KWF Profi quality mark.
| Telescopic pole | Collapsed | Extended | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| EXP-3.3 | 1.41 m | 3.29 m | 1530 g |
| EXP-4.5 | 1.84 m | 4.56 m | 1720 g |
| EXP-5.5 | 2.18 m | 5.61 m | 2100 g |
Ready-assembled combinations are also available: UV-47 + EXP-3.3, UV-47 + EXP-4.5 and UV-47 + EXP-5.5.
Blade replacement
The saw blade is available separately as the UV-47-1. Since the teeth are impulse-hardened and cannot be re-sharpened, replacing the blade is the right answer when it wears. Resin comes off with the ARS GO-1 blade cleaner.

Chemical Nickel Coating
Chemically nickel-plated surfaces provide outstanding protection against corrosion and wear. The smooth coating prevents dirt build-up and makes cleaning easier, significantly extending the tool's lifespan even with regular outdoor use.
Super Turbocut Tooth Pattern
The Super Turbocut's advanced, razor-sharp tooth design guarantees outstanding cutting speed and a clean finish. Ideal for professional pruning where efficiency is key. Special gullets between the teeth effectively clear away sawdust, preventing the blade from jamming and ensuring smooth, unobstructed cutting with minimal resistance.
Tooth Pitch – 4.5 mm
The 4.5 mm tooth pitch delivers maximum cutting speed and efficiency. Specifically optimized for thicker branches and fast cutting of softwood and hardwood. This robust tooth pattern enables aggressive material removal, making it ideal for fast-paced professional work and high-volume pruning tasks.
Blade Thickness – 1.6 mm
The 1.6 mm blade thickness combines maximum stability and durability with comfortable cutting. Designed primarily for medium and longer saw blades, it guarantees stable guidance, low resistance and extremely precise cutting even for the most demanding, heavy-duty pruning tasks.
For All Hand Sizes
A universal design that fits all hand sizes excellently. An ideal choice for shared family use or professional work. Perfect weight distribution and a stable grip provide maximum comfort even during long-term, heavy-duty use.
