ARS CAM-24PRO pruning saw – 240 mm blade, 95 mm cutting capacity

Professional, reinforced build

The CAM-24PRO is built with a thicker 1.4 mm tooth gauge and a reinforced construction. The 280 gram weight is not incidental: a stiffer blade flexes less in thick wood, which gives a more accurate cut.

Teeth and cutting action

The TURBOCUT tooth pattern uses three-sided, taper-ground teeth. It cuts on the pull stroke, which takes less effort than the push-cutting European saws and gives you better control over the direction of the cut. The teeth are impulse-hardened, which extends edge life several times over conventional hardening. The trade-off is that impulse-hardened teeth cannot be re-sharpened, so a worn blade is replaced rather than filed. The tooth pitch is 4.0 mm and the tooth gauge 1.4 mm.

Blade geometry

The blade is taper-ground: the back is thinner than the toothed edge, so the kerf stays wider than the blade and it does not jam while you work. The blade is hard chrome-plated, which resists moisture and the resin in the wood.

Blade replacement and care

The saw blade is a wearing part and is available separately: the 24PRO-1 saw blade fits this model. Because the teeth are impulse-hardened they cannot be re-sharpened, so replacing the blade is the sensible option. Resin on the blade comes off with the ARS GO-1 blade cleaner, and the ARS 9F-10 file is for saws whose teeth are not impulse-hardened.

Why choose the ARS CAM-24PRO?

  • 240 mm blade, 95 mm cutting capacity
  • TURBOCUT teeth, 4.0 mm tooth pitch
  • Hard chrome-plated Japanese steel blade
  • 414 mm overall length, 280 g
  • Replaceable saw blade, made in Japan

Frequently asked questions

How thick a branch will the ARS CAM-24PRO cut?

Up to 95 mm in diameter according to the manufacturer.

Why do ARS saws cut on the pull stroke?

Japanese saws cut as you pull. This takes less effort than a push-cutting European saw and gives better control over the direction of the cut, because the blade does not buckle.

Can the saw blade be replaced?

Yes, the blade is available separately. You will find the right type in the blades and saw blades category.

Can this saw be sharpened?

No. The teeth are impulse-hardened, which keeps them sharp far longer but rules out re-sharpening. When they wear, the blade is replaced.

Product Features & Technologies

C

High Carbon Steel

Carbon steel is sharp, wear-resistant and easy to sharpen. It offers great precision and durability, ideal for professional pruning. Regular maintenance greatly extends its lifespan.

H

Hard Chrome Coating

Hard chrome-plated blades offer extra protection against rust and wear. The smooth surface resists plant sap and retains its sharpness for longer. Designed for heavy-duty use.

curved-grinding

Curved-Ground Blade

Curved (or hollow-ground) saw blades are lightweight, razor-sharp and perfect for precision work. This technology reduces resistance and prevents the blade from binding during cutting. The hollow design efficiently clears away sawdust, resulting in a friction-free, smooth and clean cut.

Impulse Hardened

Impulse-Hardened Blade

Impulse-hardened blades and teeth are extremely hard and wear-resistant thanks to a special heat treatment. They retain their sharpness for an exceptionally long time and require minimal maintenance. An ideal choice for professional pruning and sawing work.

taper-grinding

Taper-Ground Blade

Taper-ground saw blades are thicker at the cutting edge and taper toward the back of the blade, significantly reducing friction. This design allows for an extremely clean cut with minimal effort. Ideal for professional pruning, where maximum precision and a smooth cut are essential.

Turbocut Tooth Pattern

Turbocut Tooth Pattern

The Turbocut tooth pattern's aggressive cutting angle enables extremely fast, smooth sawing with minimal effort. A perfect choice for cutting green wood and general pruning tasks, even during extended, heavy-duty use.

Tooth Pitch

Tooth Pitch – 4.0 mm

The 4.0 mm tooth pitch creates a perfect balance between cutting speed and control. Excellent for both medium-thickness hardwood and softwood. This versatile tooth pattern guarantees a smooth, clean cut, making it ideal for professional pruning and heavy-duty use.

Blade Thickness

Blade Thickness – 1.4 mm

The 1.4 mm blade thickness creates an ideal balance between blade strength and cutting comfort. Optimized for medium-length saw blades, this size ensures stable movement, low resistance and precise cutting across a wide range of pruning tasks.

Large Hands

For All Hand Sizes

A universal design that fits all hand sizes excellently. An ideal choice for shared family use or professional work. Perfect weight distribution and a stable grip provide maximum comfort even during long-term, heavy-duty use.
