ARS DUKE-25 pruning saw
ARS DUKE-25 pruning saw – 250 mm blade, 100 mm cutting capacity
A versatile garden saw
The 250 mm blade of the DUKE-25 cuts up to 100 mm. Its electroless nickel-plated surface copes well with moisture, which is why it is a proven choice in vineyards, orchards and for camping.
Teeth and cutting action
The TURBOCUT tooth pattern uses three-sided, taper-ground teeth. It cuts on the pull stroke, which takes less effort than the push-cutting European saws and gives you better control over the direction of the cut. The tooth pitch is 4.0 mm and the tooth gauge 1.2 mm.
Blade geometry
The blade is hollow-ground, meaning it thins out behind the teeth. That stops the blade binding in the kerf and lets it run with less friction. The blade is electroless nickel-plated, which resists moisture and the resin in the wood.
Choosing a size

Blade replacement and care
The saw blade is a wearing part and is available separately: the DUKE-25-1 saw blade fits this model. The teeth on this model are not impulse-hardened, so they can be filed for a while. Resin on the blade comes off with the ARS GO-1 blade cleaner, and the ARS 9F-10 file is for saws whose teeth are not impulse-hardened.

Frequently asked questions
How thick a branch will the ARS DUKE-25 cut?
Up to 100 mm in diameter according to the manufacturer.
Why do ARS saws cut on the pull stroke?
Japanese saws cut as you pull. This takes less effort than a push-cutting European saw and gives better control over the direction of the cut, because the blade does not buckle.
Can the saw blade be replaced?
Yes, the blade is available separately. You will find the right type in the blades and saw blades category.
How do I maintain it?
Wipe it dry after use and clean the resin off the blade with the ARS GO-1 blade cleaner. For sharpening, use the ARS 9F-10 file.
The ARS DUKE-25 pruning saw cuts branches up to 100 mm with its 250 mm blade, in electroless nickel-plated Japanese steel with TURBOCUT teeth. Overall length 420 mm, weight 250 grams. The saw blade is replaceable. For more models see the ARS curved pruning saws.
High Carbon Steel
Carbon steel is sharp, wear-resistant and easy to sharpen. It offers great precision and durability, ideal for professional pruning. Regular maintenance greatly extends its lifespan.
Chemical Nickel Coating
Chemically nickel-plated surfaces provide outstanding protection against corrosion and wear. The smooth coating prevents dirt build-up and makes cleaning easier, significantly extending the tool's lifespan even with regular outdoor use.
Curved-Ground Blade
Curved (or hollow-ground) saw blades are lightweight, razor-sharp and perfect for precision work. This technology reduces resistance and prevents the blade from binding during cutting. The hollow design efficiently clears away sawdust, resulting in a friction-free, smooth and clean cut.
Turbocut Tooth Pattern
The Turbocut tooth pattern's aggressive cutting angle enables extremely fast, smooth sawing with minimal effort. A perfect choice for cutting green wood and general pruning tasks, even during extended, heavy-duty use.
Tooth Pitch – 4.0 mm
The 4.0 mm tooth pitch creates a perfect balance between cutting speed and control. Excellent for both medium-thickness hardwood and softwood. This versatile tooth pattern guarantees a smooth, clean cut, making it ideal for professional pruning and heavy-duty use.
Blade Thickness – 1.2 mm
The 1.2 mm blade thickness enables stable cutting with minimal resistance and high precision. This size is typically found on shorter-bladed saws, making it an ideal choice for fine, highly precise pruning tasks.
For All Hand Sizes
A universal design that fits all hand sizes excellently. An ideal choice for shared family use or professional work. Perfect weight distribution and a stable grip provide maximum comfort even during long-term, heavy-duty use.
